I’m Lizzie Lipman, founder of Summit Interior Design.

I believe the best homes are not defined by one particular style. They are shaped by the people who use them—the way they gather, unwind, host friends, store their gear, and experience life in the mountains.

My role is to listen closely, identify possibilities you may not have considered, and translate your ideas into a cohesive design that is both beautiful and practical. I bring together space planning, materials, furnishings, and architectural details while helping you navigate the many decisions required to move a project forward.

The result is a home that feels elevated without feeling overly designed, functional without sacrificing character, and distinctly personal to you.

Interior designer, problem solver, and trusted local partner.

Local knowledge makes a meaningful difference.

I have lived and worked in Mammoth Lakes since 2011, giving me a firsthand understanding of the opportunities and challenges that come with designing mountain properties.

Snow, altitude, seasonal use, limited local availability, construction schedules, and remote ownership all influence how a project should be approached. My local relationships and on-the-ground involvement allow me to provide consistent communication and coordination—especially for clients managing their properties from outside the area.

Whether I am reviewing plans with a contractor, checking progress at a job site, sourcing furnishings, or preparing a home for installation, I serve as a steady local presence throughout the process.

The Summit
Approach

I begin by listening.

Some clients arrive with a carefully defined vision. Others know only that their home feels dated, disconnected, or no longer works for the way they live. Both are excellent places to begin.

Through thoughtful questions, detailed planning, and photorealistic renderings, I help clients understand what is possible and make decisions with greater confidence. Each selection is considered as part of the larger picture so that the finished home feels cohesive from one room to the next.

I value honest communication, practical solutions, and a collaborative process. Good design should not simply photograph beautifully—it should make your home more comfortable, more functional, and more enjoyable to return to.

DESIGN FOR THE WAY YOU EXPERIENCE THE MOUNTAINS

Summit Interior Design works with full-time residents, second homeowners, and vacation-property owners on renovations, new builds, and complete furnishing projects.

Every project is different, but the goal remains the same: to create a mountain home that feels welcoming, considered, and entirely your own.

Inquire About Your Project

Let’s create a mountain home you can’t wait to return to.

If you are planning a renovation, furnishing a newly purchased property, REFRESHING YOUR CURRENT SPACE, or building a home in Mammoth Lakes or the Eastern Sierra, I would love to hear what you have in mind.
